People often say that you should do what you love. I have indeed found my calling in life and am passionate about what I do professionally and personally. I take great pride with my work and put my best foot forward with every project and with every challenge by staying maniacally organized, innovative, and determined to get the job done. As a team player, I always strive to ensure that everyone feels that they have had a part in the project’s total success from start to finish.
Growing up in the Bay Area for most of my life, I’ve seen the Bay Area transition from fruit orchards to high-tech corporations. I sensed that great things were bound to take place. As a result, I decided to stay in the Bay Area and attended the University of San Francisco where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Behavior. I am also a recipient of the Pacific Plains International Association of Business Communicators Silver Quill Award.
Most recently, I was with the San Francisco 49ers' front office staff for three years. I am currently freelancing with the 49ers and for other local clients where I am responsible for managing the production of various successful events throughout the entire year. I continue to work cross-departmentally to solicit departmental and individual support for each event’s total success. Some of the events that I have to my credit include Jerry Rice’s retirement celebration, Alumni Weekend, Pasta Bowl, Winter & Wine Fest, NFL Commissioner's Silicon Valley Executive Breakfast, local community festivals and many more. Although each event was uniquely different, I utilized my networking and negotiating capabilities to ensure that each event stayed within budget.
I was also employed at Network General, where I was responsible for managing over 100 worldwide seminars, tradeshows, executive customer councils and the Sniffer User Summit. In addition, I was responsible for managing all creative branding initiatives, requests such as white papers, data sheets, case studies, corporate store and promotional items.
While with Disney’s website, Go.com, I had an opportunity to work synergistically with ABC and ESPN. From this joint venture, I was responsible for budgeting, managing, hosting and working with several executives to create large-scaled national corporate events. Among these major events include the launch party of Go.com, departmental all-day meetings held in Disneyland, and a million dollar Starlight Foundation charity auction.
In my free time, I can often be found entertaining friends, baking up a storm, working on home improvement projects, staying on top of consumer electronics, and spending time with my family and dogs.
